AirBNB is an amazing platform, it is an online marketplace which lets people rent out their properties or spare rooms to guests. We have found AirBNB rentals offer more of a local experience and are an affordable option to compared to hotels. A lot of research goes into accommodations before we travel and we have been fortunate enough to have never had a bad experience. We have recommended these stays to our closest friends & family and would love to share them with you all as well.

Quinta de Sta Marinha $122 – $278/night

Location: Duoro Valley, Portugal.

Family Friendly: The Air BNB listing said no children, but Cidalia accommodated us. She provided a cot, linens, and a highchair. This is not the most child friendly property, but absolutely worth it.

Overview: Truly the most incredible place tucked into the terraced hills of the Duoro Valley. This is more like a Bed & Breakfast, Quinta de Sta Marinha has 5 private suites all with stunning views of the pool that seems to drop right into the Duoro River. There is a common kitchen, library, dining area as well as outdoor spaces. Cidalia is the host, and she truly goes above and beyond. Cidalia provides the most amazing spread for breakfast and upon request will a private 7 course dinner for you, this is an absolute must! The estate bottles their own white wine, and it is available for drinking both on site and to take away with you, there is no label on the wine, it truly is a small batch wine!

Admire Vibrant, Mid-century Styl

Location: Porto, Portugal

Aljezur Old Town

Location: Aljezur, Portugal

Rosyabate Cottage

Location: Uzzano, Tuscany, Italy.

Family Friendly: Perfect for families. You have your own space which includes a washing machine! A cot and linens were provided for us. There wasn’t a highchair, but I’m sure if you ask they can coordinate one for you.

Overview: A charming cottage, in a tiny Tuscan town, with an ‘under the Tuscan sun’ vibe. The decor is lovely and makes you feel right at home. The owners actually live on the property in the main house, but don’t speak much English, their host was more then accommodating and gave us some amazing recommendations. Close proximity to some amazing wineries!
